JAMES L. MARKETOS specializes in corporate litigation. His practice encompasses the litigation of complex corporate torts, contract breaches, insurance claims, frauds, creditors' rights, government contracting disputes, and real estate conflicts. Experienced in both trial and appellate cases, he represents clients in state and federal courts throughout the United States.

Mr. Marketos is a co-author of the D.C. Circuit chapter in the American Bar Association's ERISA Survey of Federal Circuits. He is also named as District of Columbia Counsel in Res Loquitor's Select List of Law Firms for the Defense of Life, Health and Disability Insurance.

He is a member of the New York and District of Columbia bars and is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of the United States and numerous lower federal courts. Mr. Marketos clerked for the Honorable Vincent L. Broderick, U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of New York. He received his Bachelor's degree from Princeton University and his Juris Doctor degree from New York University where he was Co-Editor-in-Chief of The Annual Survey of American Law and received the law school's Vanderbilt Medal.
